Description:
A handsome native tree that develops smooth, grey, muscled bark with age (also known as Musclewood). New growth has bronze to purple tint. Tolerant of periodically wet soils; handles deep shade well. Fall foliage is yellow, orange, or scarlet. Useful as an understory plant. NATIVE.
